TIFTON — Once again, athletics at Tift County High were put on the backburner, as another round of severe weather swept through the region — canceling area action on Tuesday.
Tift County’s tennis teams were scheduled to play the Coffee Trojans in a home match, but the match quickly became the first cancellation of the evening.
The Devils and Lady Devils currently sit at 3-2 in region play, and will return to action on Thursday.
Tift will play a double header against Warner Robins and are tentatively scheduled to play Coffee as well.
Lightning also forced the cancellation of the Tift County-Lowndes baseball game and soccer matches between the Devils and Northside-Warner Robins.
No makeup date has been announced according to Athletic Director Mike Collier.
Tift currently owns a 7-3 region record in girls’ region play, and the boys sit at 5-5 in league action. Tift County will host Lowndes on Thursday.
The baseball Devils will attempt to play today at 6 p.m., as the Lowndes Vikings will come to town.
Tift County will travel to Warner Robins on Friday to meet the Northside Eagles at 7 p.m.
