TIFTON -- The Eighth Street Middle School Lady Devils seventh-grade basketball team opened their year with a loss, but have since bounced back with a pair of wins.
On Friday, Eighth Street got a 16-14 victory against Colquitt County. Amber McKenzie led with 12 points. Julee Beth Dunn and Jasmine Randall added two points apiece.
Monday saw the Lady Devils get an 18-13 victory over Newbern Middle. McKenzie had 11 points to lead Eighth Street. Katelyn Daniel had four points, Shauntania Campbell added two and Brittany Fore scored one.
Eighth Street will be back on the court Dec. 3 at home against Valdosta.
