Lady Panthers score 21 times versus Brookwood

Sara-Kate Lupo gave up only one hit Tuesday for Tiftarea Academy against Brookwood, a runaway win for the Lady Panthers.

THOMASVILLE — The 21-0 final score resembled a football game Tuesday, but in actuality it was Tiftarea Academy’s softball team winning over Brookwood School.

The game was ended by mercy rule after four frames. The Lady Panthers had innings of 10 runs and nine runs in the massacre, which was made even more a rout by Sara-Kate Lupo tossing a one-hitter.

McKenna McCard smashed two homers and drove in four runs. The RBIs was not a high for the team. That belonged to Elli Bryan. According to the team’s GameChanger account, she went 5-for-5 with five runs batted in. Lupo, Morgan McCay and Laura Ann Jones also contributed two hits each.

Tiftarea traveled to Valwood Thursday afternoon. Their next scheduled home game is Sept. 5 against Brookwood.
