TIFTON – A woman is in jail after a man was found dead from apparent stab wounds, according to a Tifton Police Department statement released late Thursday afternoon.
Roderick Clark, 47, is the victim and his body was transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy, police said.
Monee Tumbling, 32, is charged with murder and aggravated assault, police said. Tumbling is being held at the Tift County Jail.
Police describe the incident as a "domestic violence" case.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, police responded to the 1300 block of South Central Avenue in reference to an unresponsive male on the kitchen floor with an apparent stab wound, police said.
Tifton police requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime scene specialist.
Tumbling was arrested Sunday, Jan. 17, police said.
The police department said the investigation is ongoing and the Tifton Police Department is conducting the investigation with the assistance of the GBI.
