TIFTON — A tornado watch is in effect for Tift County, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch is set to last until 4 p.m today.
The previously reported wind advisory is still in effect through 8 p.m., with 20-30 miles per hour wind forecast and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
Strong thunderstorms, along with possible tornadoes and hail, are forecast for today, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected Tuesday afternoon into the evening.
Damaging wind gusts and hail are possible, along with isolated tornadoes.
NWS uses a 0-5 scale for severe storm risk. Tift County is currently a 3.
