TIFTON – Tift County has topped 3,400 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health Tuesday.

Tift County has reported 94 deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH. The county records 29 probable COVID-19-related deaths.

Tift County has reported 3,401 cases since the pandemic began last year, according to the GDPH, and 1,390 antigen cases – or no new additional cases since the weekend; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.

The county has reported 412 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
