TIFTON – Tift County reported a second virus-related death this week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health report Friday.
Tift County has reported 73 deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH. The county records 11 probable COVID-19-related deaths.
Tift County has reported 3,029 cases – an increase of 19 cases Friday – since the pandemic began earlier this year, according to the GDPH, and 867 antigen cases – the number is unchanged from Thursday; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.
The county has reported 334 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
