TIFTON – Tift County has reported one COVID-19-related death and more than 160 new virus cases during the past week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Tift County has reported 109 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH. 

Tift County has reported 4,577 cases since the pandemic began last year – an increase of 164 cases since late in the week, according to the GDPH, and 3,122 antigen cases, which is 168 more than what was reported a week ago; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.

The county has reported 462 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH.
