TIFTON – Tift County has reported four COVID-19 cases during the past week, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Tift County has reported 101 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH. The county records 29 probable COVID-19-related deaths.

Tift County has reported 3,479 cases since the pandemic began last year, according to the GDPH, and 1,476 antigen cases, which is one higher than last week; antigen cases are results from rapid virus tests.

The county has reported 423 Tift residents have been hospitalized because of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, according to the GDPH. Hospitalizations have increased by four in the past week which is the highest number of new virus-related hospitalizations in months.
