TIFTON – Tift County Elections Supervisor for Tift County Leila Dollison released the official election results for the county nearly a week after Election Day.

Official numbers did not have much difference than the initial election results released the night of Election Day. 

One of the big takeaways from the official election results is out of the 24,449 registered voters in Tift County, 16,351 voted. 

On Election Day, Tift County had 3,899 voters come out to the 12 precincts to cast their ballots; 2,721 people in Tift County voted for President Donald Trump and 1,110 people voted for former Vice President Joe Biden.

For early voting, Tift County had 9,690 people come out during the three weeks leading up to Election Day; 6,833 people voted early for Trump and 2,732 voted for Biden. 

Tift County had 2,735 people vote through absentee ballots; 1,221 people voted for Trump with absentee ballots and 1,464 people voted for Biden. 

Only 27 provisional ballots were handed out, and out of those 27, nine voted for Trump and 16 people voted for Biden. The other two provisional votes went to Libertarian Candidate Jo Joregensen.

The only two categories of voters Biden won in Tift County was the absentee and provisional ballots.
