TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A flash flood watch has been issued for southwestern Georgia, including Tift County, until Friday, Feb. 19.
The National Weather Service is reporting that a slow-moving front will come through the area Thursday, producing showers and thunderstorms. There is a risk of isolated flash flooding during that time.
Rainfall amounts will vary, according to the National Weather Service, but "will generally" range from 2-5 inches.
The watch includes Tift, Ben Hill, Berrien, Cook, Irwin, Turner and Worth counties.
