TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tift County and neighbors are in a “significant weather advisory” through 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, per the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service said that at 3:20 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm in southern Tifton, moving east at 25 miles per hour.
Areas impacted are north Cook, Irwin, north Berrien, southeastern Ben Hill and eastern Worth counties.
Rain is is forecast for the area for the next 10 days. The Weather Channel gives Tifton at least a 15% chance of rain every day, 41% Thursday with afternoon thunderstorms predicted.
