TCRD All-Star teams announced

TIFTON -- The Tift County Recreation Department recently released the rosters for all of the county All-Star baseball teams.

Ryan Bragg, Luke Brown, Corey Delarosa, Malcolm Dixon, Tyler Dotson, Roderick Downs, Antonio Howard, Tate Johnson, Jakiel McCray, Akail Parker, Zachary Shiver, Zeke Sparrow and Chase Ward comprise the 10-year old Blue All-Star squad. They are coached by Don Bragg, Tim Ward and David Shiver.

They finished playing in the South Georgia District Invitational in Ocilla yesterday. Their next competition will be in the South Georgia State Invitational in Ocilla from June 17-22. They will then compete in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) 10-Under District Tournament in Tifton on July 1-6. Finally, the 10-year old all-stars will play in the GRPA 10-Under State Tournament in Carroll County on July 17-20.

The 11-year old Blue All-Star team is made up of Thomas Burtle, Ryan Casey, Cody Cottle, Taylor Cooksey, Jared Davis, Rhett Hammond, Josh Haynes, Craig Jones, Blake Massey, Ryan Moore, Nick Prostko, Corey Rodall and Chance Veazey. They are coached by Todd Veazey, Mike Davis and Eric Prostko.

Their first competition will be June 17-22 at the Georgia Games District Tournament in Valdosta. The 11-year olds will next play in the GRPA 12-Under Sub-District in Lee County on July 1-6. They will then play in the GRPA 12-Under District at Thomasville on July 8-9. Finally they will play in the GRPA 12-Under State Tournament in Statesboro on July 17-20

Josh Abbott, Chance Benson, Bryce Brandenburg, Larry Bryant, Christian Glisson, Jordan Hall, Adam Horn, Tyce Moore, Thom Roberson, Brant Sandifer, Jacob Stinson, Kurt Willis and Cody Yelverton make up the 12-year old Blue All-Star squad. They are coached by Del Brandenburg, Wayne Stinson and Don Moore.

They completed play in the South Georgia District Invitational yesterday in Ocilla. Their next competition will play in the South Georgia State Invitational in Ocilla June 17-22. On July 1-6, the team will play in the GRPA 12-Under Sub-District in Lee County. Then on July 8-9, the 12-year olds will play in the GRPA 12-Under District in Thomasville. Finally the team will play in the GRPA 12-Under State Tournament in Statesboro on July 17-20.

The 14-Under Blue All-Star roster is comprised of Evan Borem, Matthew Brunty, Keith Cagle, Bryson Crane, Michael Pridgen, Byran Ellis, Ross Fulghum, Robby Garren, John McBrayer, Jamie Dillard, Jermaine Watts and Justin White. They are coached by Terry Crane, Tim McRae and Tommy Garren.

Their first competition will be in the Georgia Games on June 17-22. Their next three competitions will all be in Americus. Those include the GRPA 14-Under Sub-District on June 24-29; the GRPA 14-Under District on July 1-2; and the GRPA 14-Under State on July 10-13.
