WESTON, Fla. -- Connie Gaulding, 84, of Weston, Fla., formerly of Miami, Fla., died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Oakridge Cemetery. Sherwood Collins will officiate.
A native of Antigua, Guatemala, Mrs. Gaulding was a school teacher for several years in Antigua, as well as a showroom manager at the Miami Merchandise Mart for 16 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Luther Willard Gaulding Jr., formerly of Tifton.
Mrs. Gaulding is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Larry Aitkens; one sister, Nena Vides; one nephew, Jamie Cater of Tifton; one niece, Vonnie Scott of Tifton; one sister-in-law, Bea Cater of Tifton.
Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
Charles H. Dishler
OCILLA -- Charles H. Dishler, 80, of Ocilla, formerly of East Palestine, Ohio, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, in Valdosta.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at William Murphy Funeral Home in Rochester, Penn. Burial will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at William Murphy Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 24, 1922, in Rochester, Penn., Mr. Dishler was the son of the late Henry and Lucy Hupp Dishler.
He was retired from the Beaver Valley Alloy Foundry in Monaca. A member of the Catholic faith, Mr. Dishler was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was also a former member of the Rochester VFW and the Rochester Township Fireman's Club.
Mr. Dishler is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leroy "Pete" Dishler of North Sewickley Township, Lawrence and Sally Dishler of Eastman and James and Eleanor Dishler of Rochester Township; two sisters, Julia Finkenbinder and Margaret Tooch, both of Rochester Township; a nephew and niece, Michael and June Dishler; a grand niece, Amanda Dishler of Ocilla; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
Jessie D. Mullis
MACON -- Jessie D. Mullis, 19, of Macon, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church. Burial will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Omega City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nona Avenue and may be contacted at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence Drive Baptist Church Building Fund, 5774 School Road, Macon, GA 31216.
A graduate of Windsor Academy, Mr. Mullis was a member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Allen R. and Mary Jo Mullis Jr.; and his grandparents, Eddie Mae House of Omega and Allen R. and Beverly Mullis Sr.
Snow's Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
