Joe Duggan
NASHVILLE -- Joe Duggan, 73, of Nashville, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Johnny Hendley will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.
Born March 8, 1929, in Atkinson County, Mr. Duggan was the son of Willie H. Duggan and Mamie Stephens, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Miller and Willie Mae McDuffie, and two brothers, Roy Duggan and Wilson Duggan.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Duggan was employed as receiving stock manager with Morrison's Home Center/Ace Hardware and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Mathis Duggan of Nashville; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Terry Morris of Nashville; one son, Mike Duggan of Nashville; one sister, Mildred Longstreet of Valdosta; one brother, Charles Duggan of Nashville; one grandson, Justine Warren of Nashville; three step grandchildren, Hayley, Lesley and Eric Morris.
Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
