TIFTON -- Two more arrests brings the total to three in connection with the Friday shooting of a man and woman at Slim's Game Room.

Mark Algernon Sherman, 22, and Brian Keith Foster, 33, both of Tifton, were each charged Monday with two counts of aggravated assault for shooting Demetre Green, 25, in the head and Essie Nicole Williams, 25, in the chest.

Green and Williams were shot at Slim's Game Room just after midnight Friday morning. Green was treated and released from Tift Regional Medical Center Friday while Williams was listed in good condition as of Tuesday morning.

Sherman and Foster join Robert Lee Knight Jr., 19, of Tifton, in being charged for the crime. Knight was charged Saturday with two counts of aggravated assault. Deputies would not say who they believed actually shot Green and Williams, saying only that there is an ongoing investigation.

Foster was also charged with a parole violation. He was convicted in 1992 of two counts of aggravated assault, false imprisonment and violating the controlled substances act and was released from prison in October 2002. He was to be on parole until 2007.

Green told deputies that he had gotten into a fight with a man he knew when the man shot him in the head.
