12-3 win over Westwood



CAMILLA -- The Tiftarea Academy Lady Panthers traveled here Tuesday and got a 12-3 five-inning win over the Westwood Academy Lady Wildcats.

According to Tiftarea head coach Darby Veazey the story of the game was pitching.

"Lindsey Shiver pitched the first two innings and Kristy Shiver pitched the final three. Together they only allowed five walks. It was probably our best pitched game of the season," Veazey said.

Lindsey Shiver (two RBIs) and Glenna Ruth Parkman (RBI) each went 2-for-2 to lead Tiftarea at the plate.

Two players went 1-for-1 for the Lady Panthers, Macie Hood (three RBIs) and Shea Weaver (two RBIs).

Tiftarea will now prepare to host Sherwood Thursday at 4 p.m.
