OCILLA -- Three additional arrests have been made related to drug sales in the Ocilla Quick Stop area, South Central Drug Task Force Commander John David Anderson said Tuesday.
Christopher Leonard Douglas, 32; Kevis Demond McTear, 18, and Rico Recordo Williams, 31, of Ocilla, were charged with sale of cocaine. Douglas is currently on probation for previous drug sale charges. McTear was out on bond for unrelated drug charges in Irwin County when he turned himself in to authorities Tuesday.
Williams was also arrested after turning himself in at the Irwin County Jail Tuesday.
Task force investigators, assisted by the Ben Hill County Sheriff's Department, arrested three other people last Thursday during a search at the residence of Calvin Travis Williamson, 40, at 243 A.L. Reeves Road in Ben Hill County. Arrested were Williamson; Christopher Wayne Hutchinson, 24, of Fitzgerald, and Mikaela Jayne Williford, 30, of Ashburn.
Williamson is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. At the time of his arrest, Williamson was out on bond for methamphetamine-related drug charges from Crisp County.
Hutchinson is charged with possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Hutchinson was also wanted in Florida for failing to appear on other unrelated drug charges.
Williford was charged with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Williford was out on bond at the time of her arrest for manufacturing methamphetamine charges, which resulted after the SCDTF investigated her in connection for a Turner County meth lab fire several months ago.
Anderson said additional charges of possession of anhydrous ammonia and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container, both felonies, are also pending, along with weapons possession charges.
Investigators recently assisted the Wilcox County Sheriff's Office in arresting James Allen "Lynn" Crump Jr., 29, of Abbeville, and Charles Earl Jackson II, 37, of Quitman. Crump and Jackson were both charged June 18 with possession of methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Crump was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and driving with a suspended license. Jackson had an outstanding warrant in Florida as well.
Authorities had received information that Crump was transporting methamphetamine and subsequently located him and his passenger. A search of the vehicle after the men were arrested revealed approximately 1/8 ounce of methamphetamine, electronic scales, a pistol and several smoking devices.
The SCDTF also arrested Michael Cleavous Dominey, 45, of Rochelle, June 18 for manufacturing marijuana. Investigators and Wilcox County deputies were following up on information received about marijuana being grown in several areas. Anderson said that with the assistance of the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Unit, the officers spotted marijuana being grown in pots around Dominey's residence.
