Tifton’s latest subdivision, called Creekside, will be built on south Carpenter Road approximately 1/2 mile west of Highway 319. Final plat approval was given at Monday night’s Tift County Board of Commissioners’ meeting.

Joe Hampton is the developer of the Creekside subdivision.

The subdivision will consist of 31 lots, each lot approximately 1/2 acre in size. The single family homes to be built will be approximately 1,500 square foot.

Hampton plans to build a road into the subdivision with a 60-foot right of way that later will be deeded to Tift County.

The subdivision will use a public water system which will be served by Tift-Tift County Water -Wastewater Department. Plans call for private sewage disposal systems.

The Greater Tift County Planning and Zoning Commission approved the final plat of the subdivision at their March 15 meeting.

Carl Fortson with Tifton-Tift County Development Support Services also recommended the final plat’s approval.

The property was already zoned R-20 (Residential) which allows single-family residences to be constructed provided public water is utilized with private sewage disposal systems installed.
