TIFTON — The Coastal Plain Regional Library Headquarters will host two Family Literacy nights in January, according to a press release.

From 5:30-7 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 21, parents of 3-4 year olds are invited to bring their children and learn about “ways to promote language and reading skills before their children start kindergarten.”

The Sandra Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy at Georgia College in Milledgeville is presenting the program. The Family Literacy events are free to attend, dinner will be served, and all families take a book home. Families will participate in activities together during the event. Registration is required by texting FAMLIT TIFT to 33777. For more information, call Dr. Dede Addy at 478-445-8538.
