OCILLA — Irwin County is going back to in-classroom learning.
The school system announced on social media last week that beginning Monday, Sept. 13, it will have a regular schedule with “100% in-school instruction.”
Virtual learning continued through Sept. 10. On Sept. 6, the system announced one positive COVID case each for Aug. 30-Sept. 3 for Irwin County Elementary and Irwin County Middle. Irwin County High reported seven positive cases for students. Only one Irwin County staff member for all three schools was positive for COVID during that span.
Irwin County Schools originally announced a hybrid schedule in late August, but instead opted for completely virtual, starting Aug. 30.
