TIFTON — Georgia Overdose Prevention will be holding a Narcan Education and Distribution Event at OASIS Recovery Community Organization, located at 902 S. Main St., from 1-2 p.m. on Apr. 16.

Narcan, also known as naloxone, is used to reverse an opioid overdose, and can be administered by anyone.

The class on the use and effectiveness of Narcan is free of charge to the public, and free Narcan kits will be distributed at the event.
