TIFTON — The Leadership Seminar and Awards Workshop for the Garden Club of Georgia Camellia and Magnolia Districts were held at NESPAL Center in Tifton recently, according to a press release.

Guests speakers were Garden Club of Georgia president Barbara Bourque and Former Garden Club of Georgia president Sara Lanier.

Over 60 garden club leaders were present to learn more about officer training, applying for state and national awards, and how to be a better leader in their local clubs to improve the goals of garden club work: beautification, conservation, and education, the release states.

Dr. Tom Buchanan welcomed everyone to NESPAL and told how NESPAL brings together environmental issues with agriculture.

A luncheon was catered by B.J. Smith Catering.
