TIFTON — Cade Marlowe only spent part of 2021 with the Everett AquaSox. Those months were more than enough to impress the High-A West as Marlowe was named league Most Valuable Player this week.
He was also named to the High-A West All-Star team
Marlowe hit .259 with 20 homers and drove in 77 runs in 71 games with Everett. He had 74 hits, 43 for extra bases, according to MiLB’s announcement of awards.
The year isn’t done for Marlowe, who played a single game for Class AAA Tacoma (collecting a pair of hits). He is one of a handful of Seattle Mariners prospects headed to the Arizona Fall League, where he will be playing for the Peoria (Ariz.) Javelinas.
With stops in Modesto, Everett and Tacoma this year, Marlowe led the Minors with 107 RBIs.
