Dr. Rosephanye Powell will be the featured clinician at ABAC’s Choral Day on Nov. 4.

TIFTON — Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will see the appearance of Dr. Rosephanye Powell as one of the headliners of its annual Choral Day Nov. 4.

Powell will work alongside the ABAC choral program as part of an all-day clinic that has supported local high school choral students and directors for the past 14 years, college officials said in a statement.

The students will be given not only the chance to work with Powell for the entirety of the event but also perform alongside the ABAC Chamber Singers at 2:30 p.m. in the Howard Auditorium.

A professor of voice at Auburn University, Powell is the conductor of several choirs across the country, including the Auburn Women's Chorus and the Auburn Gospel Choir. Her performance and research areas primarily cover African American spirituals, the art songs of William Grant Still and voice-care concerns for choral singers and directors.
