TIFTON — Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College's Georgia Museum of Agriculture plans to host an Educator Appreciation Day Sept. 11.
Educators will be free to enjoy the museum, alongside up to three guests, at no cost, provided they show an official school ID upon checking in, college officials said in a statement.
"Educator Appreciation Day offers an opportunity to experience the museum and historic village, preview upcoming special events, and learn about programs and resources offered on-site and virtually," said Sara Hand, the museum's assistant director.
The event will feature several attractions, including rides on the museum's 1917 Vulcan steam locomotive train, blacksmithing and dollmaking demonstrations and visits with resident animals such as June Bug, the museum's mule.
Educator Appreciation Day is schedule for 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Sept. 11. For more information, contact Hand at email@example.com or (229) 391-5208.
