TIFTON — Monday, May 11 is the last day to register to vote for the June presidential primary election.

The March 24 presidential primary in Georgia was postponed because of the public health crisis.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger moved the primary date to June 9.

Georgia residents can register online at registertovote.sos.ga.gov.

Registered voters can request absentee ballots to be mailed out for the June 9 election. The deadline to make the request is May 15.

Tift voters can obtain an absentee ballot by contacting the Tift County Board of Elections at 229-386-7915 or emailing leila.dollison@tiftcounty.org.
