TIFTON — The Tift Regional Medical Center reported 21 patients who tested positive for COVID-19, as of Thursday evening.
This is more than double from the Wednesday night numbers of 10 positive cases.
Seven of those patients are staying at TRMC.
TRMC has had 177 total patients tested so far, with 37 patients awaiting test results.
In a Facebook post, TRMC clarified how they count positive patients versus the Georgia Department of Public Health.
TRMC is counting patients who come into their facilities and test positive, regardless of where they live, while GDPH counts positive cases by their county of residence.
