Property review
TIFTON — The Tift County appraisal staff will be reviewing property in the following locations through Friday of this week: northwest Tift County; west of Adams Road and Highway 125 North; north of Highway 82 and William Gibbs Road. The purpose of the property review is verification of property records and mobile home decal display. For more information, call the assessor’s office at 386-7840.
Farmer's Market
TIFTON — The Downtown Tifton Farmers' Market continues to be open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday at the train museum platform, corner of Tift and Third, next to the red caboose. Fresh produce, baked goods, preserves, soap, coffee, honey, crafts and plants are typically available. Santa’s Helpers
TIFTON — Santa’s Helpers, a United Way agency, is accepting donations of new toys, books, clothing, or money to assist with their Christmas program which has been serving children of Tift County since 1982. Donations may be made at the United Way office, 211 W. Fourth St., the Mell Baptist Association office, 4022 N. Tift Ave., The Tifton Gazette, 211 N. Tift Ave., or by mail at P.O. Box 557, Tifton, GA 31793. The program served 1,500 children in Tift County last year and needs your help to continue to serve these deserving children who otherwise might have no gifts. Ages served in the program are birth to 12 years. For more information on making a donation, you may call 382-2881 or 386-0865.
Hometown Holidays
TIFTON — Parade entry application are now being taken for the Hometown Holiday Parade. The deadline for applications is Dec. 2. The Theme is “The Spirit of Christmas.” The parade is scheduled For 5 p.m. Dec. 5 and will take the same route as last year. Call Fran Kinchen for more information at 556-7439. Food and craft vendor applications are also now being taken for The Hometown Holiday Celebration. The deadline is Nov. 23.
Boston Butts
TIFTON — ABAC Ambassadors are selling Boston Butts through Thursday. to raise money for their projects this year. Pick up will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 24. Tickets are $25 each. See any Ambassador for tickets.
