TIFTON — The Downtown Farmers' Market is open every Saturday morning through July from 8 to 11 a.m. at the train museum platform, corner of Tift and Third. Local produce, preserves, baked goods, plants, traditional crafts and a children's activity are available. First Thursday markets, from 4 to 7 p.m., continue through the summer as well. TIFTON — The Tift County appraisal staff will be reviewing property in southeast Tift County south of Ferry Lake Road and east of I-75 to Cook/Berrien counties this week. ORGANIC GARDENING 101
TIFTON — Learn the basics of gardening naturally, from the back porch to an acre. Class will cover the organic philosophy, soil building, choosing seed and plants, pest management and the organic movement in Georgia. TIFTON — The Tifton Lions Club will hold its annual installation and awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Cypress Ridge Clubhouse. There will be no noon meeting that day.

MISS BLACK TIFTAREA

IRWINVILLE — The Irwinville community will hold their 27th reunion beginning with registration at 10 a.m. Saturday at the community house in Irwinville next to the Fire Department. Bring a covered-dish to share at noon.
