TIFTON — The Downtown Farmers' Market is open every Saturday morning through July from 8 to 11 a.m. at the train museum platform, corner of Tift and Third. Local produce, preserves, baked goods, plants, traditional crafts and a children's activity are available. First Thursday markets, from 4 to 7 p.m., continue through the summer as well. TIFTON — Learn the basics of gardening naturally, from the back porch to an acre. Class will cover the organic philosophy, soil building, choosing seed and plants, pest management and the organic movement in Georgia. Class will be held at 7 tonight at the Georgia Agrirama museum screening room. Free. Led by Master Gardener Leeann Culbreath.

TIFTON — The Tifton Lions Club will hold its annual installation and awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Cypress Ridge Clubhouse. There will be no noon meeting that day.
