Theresa Roberts Cravey

ATLANTA — Theresa Roberts Cravey, 41, of Atlanta, formerly of Tifton, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Pastor Ronny Vice will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens.

William Cravey, Joe Mowbray, Anthony Wingfield, Loyd Scarberry, Corey Giddens and Michael Turnmire will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Hood and Conner Giddens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ms. Cravey was born on Feb. 20, 1972 in Tifton and was the daughter of Kenneth Fowler Sr. and Linda Scarberry Fowler, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Mitchell Cravey Jr. She was disabled and had lived in Atlanta for the past 10 years.

Ms. Cravey is survived by a daughter, Brittany Cravey of Fitzgerald; a brother, Kenneth Fowler Jr. of Leesburg; four sisters, Susan Welch of Jasper, Fla., Sabrina Fowler of Valdosta, Glenda Bozeman of Tifton and Beth Sasser of Valdosta; and a grandchild, Cameron Cravey.

Services for the Cravey family are under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

    LEOs and first responders honored at banquet

    A room full of local law enforcement and first responders were honored Thursday night by the Tifton Elks Lodge at their annual Public Safety Officer Appreciation and Awards Banquet for their service in the community.
    Prior to the awards being given out, Louise Spradley, who organized the banquet, welcomed everyone, and the invocation and pledge were led by the Tift County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard.
