Rants & Raves - March 19

I would like to send a rave out to Dr. John Hamm and Liz Carson Keith. Without them, the Literacy Volunteers of Tifton-Tift County could not continue to teach people to read or help them get their GEDs.
I would like to rave on two Tift County High School teachers, Dr.Julie Rucker and Kelly Helwig. Thanks for the hard work!
A rave about Chenoa at the Health Department. What a wonderful resource. Personable and upbeat....amazing.
A huge praise for Dream It Gymnastics for having a day camp ! As an educator with a child it is very hard to find a sitter on days we have to work and students are out. My daughter had an awesome time!
Bloodworth Air Conditioning, deserves a big rave for working during the rain and cold installing the heat pump (March 4) so that my wife and I would be warm during the cold weather. Thank you, Mr. Bloodworth and sons.
I noticed that someone called raves-only Wednesday a dumb idea. I couldn’t disagree more. It’s important every now and then to take a step back and be positive. To not do so is a disservice to yourself and to others. I applaud The Gazette for setting aside the space each Wednesday to allow us to brag on each other and our fine city. The only dumb idea is not doing this.
To the person who says having raves only on Wednesday is a dumb idea and a waste of time, I say get over yourself Scrooge. Not everyone sees everything and everyone as humbug.
