James David Coleman

LAKE PARK — James David Coleman, 59, of Lake Park died Friday, March 14, 2014, at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Long Bridge Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Coleman was born Sept. 1, 1954 in Bolivar County, Miss. to the late J.D. Coleman and the late Ethel Pauline Lucas. He was a retired supply sergeant in the United States Army with 24 years of service and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Hightower Coleman of Lake Park; a son, William Shane (Lori) Coleman of Lake Village, Ark.; three daughters, Meachell (Ricky) Coleman Adams-Trimm of Nashville, Paula Lenora (Tommy) Sullivan of Tifton and Kathleen (Adam) Smith of Lake Park; two sisters, Janice O’Berry and Wanda Blackmore, both of Nashville; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
