Thomas invited to Albany all-star game

TIFTON — Tift County's Nate Thomas has been selected to play in the 2014 Southwest Georgia High School Boys & Girls All-Star Basketball Game that will be held on March 22 at Darton State College.

The games will feature the Albany Area All-Stars versus the Southwest Georgia All-Stars.  There will be a 3-point shootout and a dunk contest during halftime.  The girls game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., with the boys game immediately following.

The games are a chance for players and coaches to experience the excitement and camaraderie involved with an all-star event, and give the fans another opportunity to enjoy a competitive boys’ and girls’ game between the best graduating seniors.

Thomas has been a defensive specialist this year for the Blue Devils.
