Irene Roe, 84, of Nashville, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 13, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Walt Hughes and the late Delia Taylor. She was a homemaker and member of Faith Chapel. She was the widow of Jackson Calvin Roe, who died in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Roe Selph of Nashville; son, Louie (Hope) Roe of Hahira; brother, W.E. (Bernice) Hughes of Nashville; five grandchildren, Charity Roe (Steven) King, Chad (Melissa) Roe, Brad (Missy) Roe, Corey (Rhiannon) Selph and Casey Selph Massey; five great-grandchildren, Austin and Ethan Carpenter, Chance and Destiny Roe and Autumn Roe.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 21, 20132 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Hughes and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Empire Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
