Modean Cagle Caudle

TIFTON — Modean Cagle Caudle, 97, of Tifton, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with Mr. Harold Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Caudle was born July 12, 1916 in Haleyville, Ala., to the late Leander and Cora Dees Cagle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Early Lee Caudle, two daughters, Vivian Diane Lucas, Doris Jean Canty, a son, Don Lee Caudle one brother and one sister. Mrs. Caudle lived in Tifton most of her life, working at the cotton mill in her younger days.

Later she worked sixteen years at the Georgia Agrirama. She was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Caudle is survived by a daughter, Lore Copenhaver of Havre de Grace, Md.; a son, Leonard Caudle of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Jewell Walker of Tifton; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
