Franklin Lee Kelley

TIFTON — Franklin Lee Kelley, 60, of Tifton, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Turner Church Cemetery with military honors. David Kelley will give the eulogy.

Mr. Kelley was born Sept. 27, 1953 in Tifton to Dorothy M. Rowe Kelley of Tifton and the late Richard Franklin “Dick” Kelley, who died May 1, 2014. He attended Tift County High School before enlisting in the United States Army. Mr. Kelley was very patriotic and loved the 4th of July. He also loved Georgia football, NASCAR, reading, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Mr. Kelley loved to talk to people and he never met a stranger.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Debra Scarborough Kelley of Tifton; his children, Richard Kelley and Michelle Kelley both of Tifton; six grandchildren; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie and Gail Kelley of Sumner, Malcolm and Janet Kelley of Ty Ty, Johnny Kelley and David and Jeanie Kelley of Tifton; special friends, Richard McMillan, Kenny Connell, Phyllis Price and Terry Bryan; and many nieces and nephews.
