Panthers will face Tattnall Square

TIFTON — The Tiftarea Academy Panthers baseball team will have their chance to gain a measure of revenge later this week.

They are set to face the Tattnall Square Trojans in the GISA state finals scheduled for Friday. Tattnall knocked them out of the playoffs last year in the second round.

The Trojans advanced to the finals after beating Southland Academy 13-0 and 11-0 in semifinal games played Saturday.

The Panthers swept Stratford Academy, 7-5 and 11-0, last Friday to enter the championship round.
