Only rain expected for Tift County later today

TIFTON — The Tift County EMA told the Gazette that as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, no storms are expected for our area later today.

"There is a front coming through, and some rain is expected," said the EMA official. She went on to add that no storms are expected.

There are reports of bad weather in Southwest Georgia. Just before 4 p.m., there was a report of a tornado that touched down between Sasser and Dawson in Terrell County.
