Rants & Raves - May 9

Special and/or called City Council meetings are supposed to be posted and announced at least 24 hours in advance. Such posts and announcements are supposed to be in a pre-designated specific place including in the legal organ of the community...ie The Tifton Gazette.
I was shocked recently while sitting in a hospital waiting room. The doctors came out after surgery and discussed everything about the surgery with the family out loud for everyone in the waiting room to hear. What happened to the HIPPA rules? Don't the doctors have to abide by them?
Perhaps no one could return calls at City Hall because the mayor has left our government in squabbling shambles and is not fiscally responsible. I work for the city; I see it everyday. Do not blame us for his mistakes. We are working as hard as we can with what we are given.
Hey , I have an idea. Why don’t the Fulwood Park people clean and paint that disgusting , filthy men’s bathroom out there? The odor is like something died in there. And the things written on the walls are disgusting. Children use that place. Would you want yours reading what i saw ? Or even using that nasty place? clean it up!
To the person who wrote the rant about the regional library: First, I would like to say that I have quit going to the Tifton Library primarily because of comments I have heard employees say to patrons. Also the attitudes that I have seen and had myself are ridiculous! I have been going to the regional library and have had no complaints. The staff there are very helpful and my kids love going and playing in their children's area. So thank you regional library for being so good to me and my family!
