Rants & Raves - April 29

My income qualifies me for a tax break for affordable health insurance. I am getting a $6,300 government subsidy for Market Place insurance with a $77 out of pocket premium. I will be getting 100 percent coverage after a insignificant deductible is met. What I was not told is my "insignificant" deductible is $6,700 annually! One half of my income. There has been no media coverage of others in my position. Am I the lone wolf?
I watched the Tifton City Council meeting on the city's website and could not believe the woman's behavior. That was really disrespectful of her calling someone a boy. She should resign. She should apologize to Mr. Byrd.
Here we go again with "put words in the Mayors mouth to perpetuate a lie." The mayor never said renters don't have rights. I believe that was the woman councilperson. He agreed you do. Get your story straight. Thank goodness we have Cater, Parrot and Terrell. If not, Tifton would remain stagnant and anti-business. And yes it was rude, inconsiderate and antagonistic to call any grown man a "boy." Shame on you. You owe an apology. Way to go, you three. Thanks for standing up for the majority!
It seems that more and more cars are broken into or stolen. People are leaving their cars unlocked, some with keys inside. The crooks are always watching, so don't be stupid. It only takes a second to be smart. Lock it up and take the keys.
To the ranter who supports the Bundy family in Nevada: Would you also support a group of Black Panthers squatting on government owned property in an inner city and pointing guns at cops trying to carry out legal evictions? I think not. Would you praise them for standing up to an oppressive government? No. But the crime is the same. Bundy has been on government welfare long enough.
