Soccer playoffs set for Devils

TIFTON — Soccer playoffs have now been set for the Tift County Blue Devils.

The Devils, who were waiting to hear if they were No. 3 or No. 4 out of Region 1-AAAAAA, have finished third. They will be traveling to play metro Atlanta's Tri-Cities in the first round of the state playoffs Tuesday, according to brackets posted by the GHSA on its website.

The Devils earned their spot after Colquitt County defeated Coffee earlier this week.

The Lady Devils, No. 2 out of the region and undefeated until their region finale against Camden County, host Newnan next Wednesday.

Tift's girls advanced to the state quarterfinals last year before being defeated at Parkview. This is first trip for the boys in two years.
