Diane Bush Wallace

OCILLA — Diane Bush Wallace, 69, of Ocilla, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.  Monday, in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating.  Interment will follow at Pinegrove Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Chris Purvis, Michael Purvis, Jerry Ivey, Joshua Lawton, Rodney Crance, Ricky Prince and David Bradford will serve as pallbearers.  

Mrs. Wallace was born May 13, 1944, in Colquitt County to Cleo Taft Bush and Floy Mae Grantham Johnson Bush, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wallace graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in the nursing program and worked at Tift Regional Medical Center for several years as an LPN.

She also had worked as manager of the Family Dollar Store for 10 years.  She loved cooking for her family as well as spending time with her grandchildren, camping, gardening and the beach.  Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Ocilla Church of God.   

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her husband, to whom she had been married 50 years, Ray Wallace of Ocilla; one son and one daughter-in-law, Tonaha Ray and Desiree Wallace of Ocilla; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Regina Diane and Kent Lawton of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Loretta Lynn and Shawn Duckworth of Nashville; one brother, Taft Bush of Lenox; one sister, Geraldine Carlton of Alamagorda, N.M.; eight grandchildren, Katie Wallace, Noel Wallace, Joshua Lawton, James Lawton, Brianna Lawton, Justin Stone, Hailey Frye and Marissa Lawton; and four great-grandchildren, Ashton Frye, Khamryn Frye, Ryker Barker, and Sawyer Lawton.
