Clyde Wilkerson Jr.

TY TY — Clyde Wilkerson Jr., 69, of Ty Ty died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Albany Baptist Church. The Rev. John Aaron White will officiate with burial to follow at the Wilkerson residence. Tony Wilkerson, Mike Dorden, Buddy Murrell, Morgan Guthrie, Michael Tew and Steven Tew will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, and on Friday from 10 a.m. until hour of service at the church.

Mr. Wilkerson was born April 21, 1945 in Tampa, Fla. and was the son of Clyde and Mattie Lyle Wilkerson, both deceased. Mr. Wilkerson was a retired cabinet maker and produce seller.

He was past active in the Salvation Army, Plant City, Fla.

Mr. Wilkerson is survived by his wife, Iva Foister Wilkerson of Ty Ty; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry and Kimberley Jones of Albany and Tony and Rita Wilkerson of Ty Ty; two daughters, Euline Maiden of Valparaiso, Ind. and Lenora Dunn, of Columbus, Ind.;  one sister, Faye McDonald of Plant City, Fla.; a former daughter-in-law, Melissa Gwyn Bason; two special grandchildren, Jamie and Lucy Wilkerson and seven additional grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services for the Wilkerson family are under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
