Tift wins Lady Trojan tourney

TIFTON — The Tift County girls golf team competed Monday in a 12-team tournament in Douglas. Tift continued their winning ways by posting a one-shot victory over Vidalia in the Lady Trojan tournament.

Anna Greer led the way for Tift with a score of 77 with Lynsie Belan's 78, Kelsie Belan's 82 and Sarah Neal's 109 helping Tift secure the victory.

Coach Rusty Smith's team has six 1st place and one 2nd place finishes on the season. Tift will wrap up their regular season schedule in Moultrie Saturday and will host this year's region tournament on Monday at Spring Hill Country Club.
