Audrey Morris Dasher

ASHBURN — Graveside funeral services for Audrey Morris Dasher, 93, of Ashburn will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Dasher passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at her residence.

The daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Ira Lena Sellars Morris, she was born in Fitzgerald and had lived in Turner County most of her life. She was the widow of Donald Mims Dasher. In her earlier years, she assisted her mother in the family business Morris’s Restaurant for many years and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved working in her yards and taking long walks in the neighborhood as long as her health allowed.

Mrs. Dasher was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful choir member for many years and was a member of the DAR.

Survivors include her children, Alex (Tammy) Dasher of Milton, Fla., Tommy (Yolanda) Dasher of Ashburn, Nelle D. Mullis of The Villages, Fla., Libby Dasher of Tallahassee, Fla. and Patricia Dasher of Minor Hill, Tenn. She is also survived by three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

There will be no formal visitation, but friends are welcome to stop by her residence, located at 736 McLendon St. in Ashburn, to visit the family.
