Reuben Walton Clements III

FITZGERALD — Reuben Walton Clements III, 74, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Clements was born April 12, 1939, in Atlanta to Katie Butler Eason and the late Reuben Walton Clements Jr. He grew up in Adel and Tifton and graduated from Tift County High School. He received his registered pharmacist degree from the University of Georgia. Mr. Clements was owner and operator of the former Clements Pharmacy in Fitzgerald. He lived in Valdosta most of his life and was a pharmacist for UHC-Pruitt Nursing Homes for more than 20 years. He enjoyed flying planes and working with computers as well as fishing, playing video games and gardening. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Wilson.

He is survived by daughter, Samantha Urquhart-Foster of Atlanta; daughter, Laura and Kurt Baumeister of Blairsville; son, Reuben W. “Walt” Clements IV and Jennifer of Fitzgerald; daughter,  Rachel and Mickey Casab of North Hollywood, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kyra Urquhart-Foster, Katie Baumeister, Reid Baumeister, Reuben Clements V and Brianna Clark; his mother, Katie Butler Eason of Anderson, S.C.; and a brother-in-law, Franklin “Dupree” Wilson of Anderson, S.C.
