Man arrested, charged in Nashville shooting

TIFTON — Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting early Saturday morning in Nashville.

Kelvin Eugene Brown Jr. has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Cornelius Rashawn Miller of Lakeland. Miller was shot in the wee hours of the morning Saturday outside of Nashville club, The Blue Swan.

While on patrol, a Nashville police officer spotted a crowd of people outside of the club, located on Marion Avenue. As he approached, bystanders began to shout that someone had been shot.

Witnesses said a suspect had shot Miller then fled on foot. Law enforcement in the area began the search for the suspect, and were told to look out for a black male driving a tan PT Cruiser.

Brown is being held in the Cook County Jail in Adel.
