Glynis H. Nall

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. — Glynis H. Nall, 63, of Crawfordville, Fla., formerly of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Fla. following a courageous battle against cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Mike Ruffin, the Rev. Charles Nall, the Rev. Kelly Brown and Elder Travis Fussell officiating. Eulogies will be given by her daughter, Pamela Damitz, and by the Rev. Sarah Holik. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nall was born Jan. 27, 1951 in Lax to the late Glen Ronnie and Ora Mae Harrell Hattaway. She was a graduate of Coffee County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Darton College.

She lived in Albany for many years and was an administrative assistant for the Burt and Swan Law Firm. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1995 and formerly worked for the Fitzgerald Housing Authority. Mrs. Nall served as finance secretary for First Baptist Church for more than 15 years.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Lee Damitz of Crawfordville, Fla. and Kelly and Joey Booth of Newnan; three grandchildren, Summer Booth, D.J. Booth and Christopher Damitz; siblings and their spouses, Susie and Robert Boteler of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas and Linda Faye Hattaway of Alapaha, Lem and Janice Hattaway and Tillman and Judy Hattaway, all of the Lax community, Freddie and Shayla Hattaway of Rhine and Donald Hattaway and Dudley Hattaway, both of the Lax community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Nall; a brother, Ronnie Hattaway Jr.; and a sister, Edith Pearl Hattaway.
